Sure, it's all politics....

"Al-Qa'ida has assassinated too many people,” said the man, who did not want to be named. “If the resistance received support from the Government they could defeat al-Qa'ida. Al-Qa'ida kills anyone who does not obey them. Most of them are criminal and known bad people." Source

I hear so much about who is lying and who is not that such arguments have become white noise.

Instead I know these facts;

Islam is full of people that want to kill other people. Sunnis want to kill Shiites and Al-Qa'ida will fuel any form of fighting that will drawn in either Jews, Americans or... heck the whole non-Islamic world which to be clear all fall under the label of infidels. They will bomb their own people in order to do so as where we are the devils to be destoryed, the innocents in their way become martyrs to their cause. It's a simple way of thinking that frankly means "kill them all and let God sort it out".

We have seen what passes for tolerance with the Islamic extremists as ancient Buddha’s have been blown up, journalists beheaded and a Dutch film maker stabbed in the streets of his own country because he made a film that asked the Islamic world to be kinder to their women. Masses have taken to the streets over cartoons and one Moslem writer is still in hiding after writing a book ten years ago that laughed at Mohammed.

But the setting president of this land giving a speech on the anniversary of one of our most tragic events is the biggest evil some warn we face.

KOS posters showed us their anti-Semitic hearts and in California hacking your opponent’s web resources is now considered in the campaign bag of tricks.

The Senate has informed us that all intelligence leading to the Iraq War was wrong but left out the part where using that same intelligence they all voted to send in the troops. The theory of Iraq's weapons and threats go back thru three administrations and various country's spy rings, but once Bush was elected became his "lie".

Not being naive I understand that politicians will lie to us, but IMO the biggest damage they do is when faced with the world as it is they start to lie to themselves. It's not a matter of what party rules "this" or what party stands for some-a-bob.

Our freedoms only face the risk having our overseas calls to terrorists monitored and perhaps our bags being looking into as we enter a subway. We can still buy five to ten guns per day, knock Bush, Jesus and our flag around all we wish. Drugs and prostitution are still plentiful and only idiots try to tell us what we may and may not watch. Sure terrorists don't have many rights but they walk the path of martyrdom not that of Mom and Apple Pie. Yes, the name Ali carries some baggage around today but only because the world of Islam does little to fight the cancer in their midst.

People will agree with me, or not... and either way is not an IQ test, a gauge of patriotism or even right vs. wrong. Holding either view is a right from living in a country where tolerance was once the rule not the exception. Should we continue down the path of losing this we only need to look toward the lessons of Islam and learn what fate awaits us…
