Yo Quiero a Big Friggin Wall

"Relations between the US and Mexico today took a turn for the worse after George Bush signed legislation for a 700-mile border fence to counter illegal immigration into the US. The move was universally condemned by Mexican leaders. Vicente Fox, the country's president, told reporters that the fence would not stop millions of Mexicans from heading north in search of jobs.

"It is an embarrassment for the United States," Mr Fox said. "It is proof, perhaps, that the United States does not see immigration as a subject that corresponds to both countries."

While "immigration" is indeed something to be decided by two countries, the subject of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is not. Especially when one of the country’s involved has a systemic policy of corruption when in comes to drugs, people trafficking and leaving its poor at another’s doorstep instead of caring for them. Mexico, is the embarrassment, the corruption riddled political machine of a very small group of wealthy families that cry of their poor, "let them cake! America's cake".

It's time for honesty on all sides however and let's start by calling the subject what it is, illegal trespassing. Those that follow the laws of our country and even that of Mexico are not part of the "subject".

Having grown up in California doing jobs that I read in the media are jobs no American will do, I can't accept the lies any longer. These jobs which are being stolen from our youth are jobs that led to better jobs, educational opportunities and at last to a profession. That people from another land would want to come in and steal such a thing is understandable, that our elected representatives will do NOTHING to stop this is not.

Now our heath care and our schools are burdened with people who don't even need to and many times don't won't to learn English. They send back money to Mexico, get educated and medicated on OUR dime and go back able to do something they stole from OUR children, move up economically.

Build the friggin wall if only as a symbol to those that come stealing in the night that they face a people that are united in turning them away.

Let it stand;

for the fact we the people of this country will vote and purge those that support big business and the cheap labor myth,

let it stand for the fact will we pass laws making illegals uncomfortable and accountable,

let it represent our schools and healthcare will be closed to illegals as we lobby to undo the crazy greed of those that created this artificial underclass.

Let this wall send a message to the Mexican politicians and their elite corrupted upper class master that it's time for Mexico to grow up and take responsibility for its own... let it state this is long overdue. After the message rings loud and clear , send these arseholes the friggin bill.

Pimping MJ

I like M J Fox, as I'm the guy who actually went out and bought Doc Hollywood, The Hard Way and The Frighteners.... movies I enjoy to this day. I was sadden at the news regarding his Parkinson's disease and find him a great crusader.

However, I find it distasteful that both of our parties are pimping MJ in this election. One using him like a poster child on a Labor Day marathon only lacking Jerry Lewis and the other in denial over one man's personal struggle against his on mortally and the demonic disease that robs MJ of his own body. One side hoping the shock value of his disease will project callousness in their political opponents and the other, used to many tricks, proactively, yet wrongly... crying foul.

Stem cell research however does include a moral issue. Some will tell you every horrible disease known to man is only weeks away from a cure and that Bush is the reason this doesn't happen.

Stem cell research has not stopped due to any politician, it is being privately funded and the promise many swear exists, just can't be found. In fact it is rare that government funding has ever led to any medical breakthrough. What has happened is the issue has become nothing more than a football between both ideology and politics, with the most foul on both sides willing to pimp people like MJ Fox, for whom we should all regardless of policy or personal beliefs stand up once more and give a hearty round of applause....

Rich White Woman's Burden

"The pop star told the talk show host Oprah Winfrey she was concerned the media portrayal of the adoption could discourage others from adopting African children and said it was "doing a great disservice to all the orphans of Africa, not just Malawi, by turning it into such a negative thing".

I would hope MadDonna's rehashed version of "whiteman’s burden" doesn’t turn Africa into a market for pedos, PR and status seekers, or an advertisement for the latest solution to liberal guilt. Seeing that money does allow one to be above the law in this area only points that the problem is not one of saving the children but in saving the people from those that see children as a market product. Haven't enough black families been dislocated and broken up? We have in this case a very rich white woman claiming to want to help the child. Yet she rips it away from a father who held out hope he could one day better himself for that child. Money seemed no object to create an addition to her family and frankly it should not have been one in keeping a family together, if her goal was indeed one of caring about Africa and African children.

MadDonna made her a large part of her money from the inner-city ghettos of America. She in fact broadcast her version of a material world to the people here that after making her a rich caring savior of the African race (at least this month), she seems to ignore. We have many orphans right here in this country in need of a home, orphanages and child care centre’s in need of support. But instead MadDonna seems to only care that the clubs and crack houses are playing her version of a fast aging "Cher".

I guess however our orphans aren’t hip enough for the material girl to care about.

MadDonna, has worked the media for the last thirty years, she is working it now... but for the children’s sake we need to take to control of what is really going on in the child markets of Africa, one would think such a market of people for sale could never exist given our history.

Come to Think of It... I'd rather deal with Hanging Chads

Electronic voting sounds like a good idea, it is a good idea... however not as a business model.

Until the day comes when the service can be supplied by the government in a transparent method, a secure method... a frigging verifiable method we can not do this.

Too many questions can not be answered by Diebold. Too many questions can not be resolved. Just because we all use the internet and have gotten used to doing things the easy way is no reason to encode our freedom like porn on the UseNet.

I will not use such a machine....

Shameless

"Derbez said Monday after meeting with French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy that it was a “shame” U.S. immigration policy had been used for what he claimed was a short-term political gain in the lead-up to midterm elections in the U.S. in November."

The soul of Mexico has no shame. It assumes a right to protect its upper-class by throwing away its poor. The poor they refuse education, refuse to feed or police. Should the poor turn to drug running it's no problem; as long as the police and governors get a cut. Should they turn to gangs, no problem; as long as government gets a cut.

Should their poor ignore the laws of a sovereign country and break in to steal jobs, not a problem; as long as the cash flows back to Mexico and the proper people prosper.

The Gringo will be taken for what they can provide and the few families that make up the Mexican wealthy, laugh as their puppets in government travel the world speaking of the US shame. And to think, they silently ponder, no one even needed to learn the language.

Isn't Honesty part of Morality?

I was watching CNN last night and heard Jack Cafferty state. "in all likelihood, the leadership of the Republican party knew of his actions". This was said regarding the Foley issue. Now, no proof of this has surfaced so I wonder how the most trusted name in news can broadcast such a thing...

I have also seen on boards, blogs and even on you-tube statements that purposely confuse "the letter" which Haslett did see, with IM messages which he claims he has not. They are not the same and the tone of the letter would deserve the benefit of the doubt, while the IM messages would not.

What is revealing is that many people politicizing this issue and actually spreading out and out lies are clamoring that this reveals a lack of "morality" in their opponent. It is revealing in that the word morality gets lost on both sides of the argument.

IMO this is yet another miscalculation as the mind of the voter is hardly fooled by such vulgar politics.... we expect it yes, but frankly learned to filter it out, long ago.

Voters want to hear about what candidates would do regarding issues that affect our lives, rather than how the latest scandal out of Cesspool D.C defines a given party.

If candidates can only focus on messages like: “Vote for me I don’t molest Kids” or “You don’t know me but it’s time for a change from the party of corruption” ... they will not get far.

If candidates or party leaders can not be honest with politics how can we expect them to be honest with us?
